It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jonathan Brockway, loving son of David and Joyce Brockway announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, June 30th, 2009 at the age of 36. Leaving to mourn as well, his best friend and partner Wade Greeley; brother: Reggie (Kathy) and their sons Gavin, Warren and David, Kingston, ON; aunts and uncles: Karen George (Tom), Monty Brockway, Wanda Baker (Brad), Tom Brockway (Maureen), Vicky Brake (Thomas), Roger Brockway (Sandra), Barry Brockway (Patricia), Simone Zieler, Doreen Juris (Matthew), and Duane McCarthy (Dolly); as well as a large circle of cousins, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his grand- parents: Reginald and Jean Brockway, Lawrence and Regina McCarthy; aunt: Evelyn Morrison and uncles: Donald McCarthy and Leonard Zieler. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday, 7-9:00 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, July 6th at 10:30 a.m from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Officiated by Monsignor Edwin Gale. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Newfoundland and Labrador Heart and Stroke Foundation.
