It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Helen McIntyre on January 12th, 2011 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. She was born in Auchendinny, Scotland on September 29th, 1937. Helen was the beloved wife for 47 years to David McIntyre; devoted mother to Kim and John (Debbie) and Douglas; proud grandmother to Kim's daughter, Melissa and John and Debbie's daughters, Erica, Elena, Sarah and Julia. Helen will be remembered by her family for her love and devotion as well as the kindness and compassion she had for those she knew. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses entrusted to Helen's care and well being over the years, especially Dr. Peter Fraser, Dr. Sainz and the palliative care nursing staff at the Oromocto Public Hospital for treating Helen with such dignity and respect. Thank you to MaryAnne for helping with the care of Mom at home in David's absence. To our extended family and friends, we thank you for your concern and being there to help us through this time.
