Ron Adams passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with his daughter, Marie her husband Roy and granddaughter, Joyce by his side.
Ron was born April 9, 1922, in Glace Bay. He was a resident of Harbourstone Enhanced Care, where he lived for the past three years. Ron worked in the coal mines for 40 years before his retirement.
He leaves behind his wife, Harriett (Walters) Adams, Port aux Basques, Nfld.; his children, Marie (Roy) Davidson, Cliff Adams, Arlene (John) Li; his grandchildren, Joyce Nicholson, Rhonda Davidson, Clinton Davidson, Raymond Adams, Anita Yates, Colin Adams, Jalianne Li, Allison Harris, step grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and step-great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Ron was predeceased by his parents, William and Mariam Adams, his first wife, Doris (Mason) Adams; his second wife, Carrie (Musgrave) Adams and daughter, Carolyn Adams.
At Ron's request, there will be no visitation. A private family gathering and burial will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army Sydney Community Church.
