It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ada with her children by her side on January 13, 2011 in Elk Court, Brookfield just two hours short of her 80th birthday. Born in Corner Brook, NL, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Ida Berkshire. She is survived by her children, Gerry Dwyer (Marie), Orillia, ON, Colleen Mercer (Herb), Sydney, Sheila Johnston (Donald), Truro, Robert Dwyer (Barbara), Lewisporte, NL; grandchildren, Jerri, Kelly, Kerri, Colleen, Christopher, Tanya, Leah, Katherine, Jordan, Matthew; great-grandchildren: Kristina, MacKenzie, Delaney, Jackson; brother, Bob Berkshire; sisters, Hilda Connolly, Maude Barron; several nieces and nephews; former husband, Gerald Dwyer. She was predeceased by sister, Hazel Brennan; brother, Bill Berkshire. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 16th from 1-2 p.m. followed by a celebration of Ada's life at 2:00 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Gary Yetman officiating. Interment at a later date in Robie Street Cemetery. Dr. Murray was not only our mother's Doctor but also her dear friend. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the staff of Eagle Lane at Elk Court, who made such a difficult time so much more bearable. Special thanks also to the Palliative Care staff, Dr. Henderson and Dawn Martell. Their kindness will never be forgotten.
