Passed away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on June 30, 2009, at the age of 98 years, Bertha Greeley (nee Greeley) of Portugal Cove. Predeceased by her husband Frederick. Leaving with fond memories one brother, Malcolm Greeley, daughters: Shirley Langmead (Russell), Dorothy Morrissey (Bill-deceased) and Hazel Miller (Willard). Seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; as well as one great-great-grandchild along with numerous nephews and nieces. Special thanks to all those who cared for her or about her from her home to “The Home” especially Ruby Manor where she resided for almost two years. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Thursday July 2 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service from The Carnell Memorial Chapel on Friday, July 3 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
