Mrs. Ida Mae Brooks of Cedar Ave., Sussex passed away on January 13, 2011 at the age of 92. She was the daughter of the late Otty and Edna (Colpitts) Smith and was the wife of the late Oris Brooks who passed away in 1980. Ida is survived by her daughter, Barb Williams (Claude) of Sussex, two sons: Walter (Freda) of Fredericton and Jack (Pat) of Baxter's Corner; nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; her sister: Dorothy Leach of Sussex, her sister-in-law: Wilma Smith of Dutch Valley; as well as several nieces and nephews. Ida was predeceased by four brothers: Clinton, Donald, Ralph and Everett; her sister; Viola Buchanan and two great granddaughters Ashton and Kyla Moss.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176).A Celebration of Ida's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 2:00 pm.
