STRONG, Howard Roy (M.D)- Passed away on January 8, 2011, Dr. Howard Strong of St. John's, Newfoundland, long-time member of the Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University and geriatric psychiatrist. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Susie Strong of Lewisporte. Leaving to mourn his wife Shirley (nee Hammond); sisters-in-law Hazel Hammond, Daisy Atkins (Bren), Elizabeth Dewling (Dave) and Sheree Blackmore; brother-in-law William Hammond Jr.; nieces Tanya Canning, Danielle Dewling, Jillian and Leslie Hammond and grand-nieces Hope and Kelsey Canning. Also a large number of other relatives, colleagues and friends. The family thanks all those involved in Howard's care for their help and kindness. A family service has taken place.
