Passed peacefully away on Friday, January 14, 2011 Sarah Hickey in her 91st year of O'Donnell's, St. Mary's Bay. Predeceased by her parents: Michael & Mary Margaret Barron, siblings: Elizabeth, John, James, Willie, Stephen & Maggie, her grandson, Eugene Upshall, grandaughters: Alyssa, & Ally Hickey. Left with fond and loving memories are her devoted husband of 60 years Willie, her children: Billy (Bonnie), Wallace (Elke), (Sally) Sarah, Gregory (Margarita), & Rick (Debbie), 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one sister, Margaret Hickey, sisters-in-law: Olive Barron, Carmel Jamieson, and a circle of extended family, foster children and friends, especially her primary caregiver, Sharon Comerford, and previous caregiver, Elizabeth Dinn. Resting at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, Admiral's Beach. Visitation on Monday from 7 - 9 pm & on Tuesday from 2 - 4 pm & 7 - 9 pm. Funeral will take place at 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 with Mass of Christian Burial from Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, Admiral's Beach. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, O'Donnell's. Donations in her memory may be made to Joints in Motion, c/o Arthritis Society.
