Donald Luckie, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 15, 2011. He was the only child of the late Bertram and Margaret (Cowie) Luckie, of Montreal, Quebec.
Donald served with the Navy from 1962 to 1965 and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 128, Whitney Pier. He was employed with Michelin Tires Canada Ltd. (Granton) and retired with 35 years of service. Donald was also a member of St. Alban's Church, Whitney Pier.
Donald is survived by his wife, Adeline (Prosser); son, Donald (Susan), Saint John, N.B.; daughters, Michelle (Brian) Taylor, Sydney and Barbara, Dartmouth. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Donald, Michael, Alexander, Meghan, Mikayla, Kara-Lynn and Jillian.
He was predeceased by two grandchildren, Brian and Briana Taylor.
There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan.19, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St Alban's Church, with Archdeacon Brenda Drake officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be made to St Alban's Church or a charity of one's choice.
