Spurr, Linda Louise - 53, of Yarmouth, Passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on January 3, 2011. Born September 3, 1957, in Carleton, Yarmouth Co., she was a daughter of George and Louise Hurlburt, She loved to cook and knit. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Besides her parents, she is survived by husband, James "Jim"; sons, James (Taralee), Arcadia; Jeff (Shannon), Chebogue; sister Phyllis (Rick) Maynard, Bridgewater; nephew Tyler Best; special aunts, Eyvonne (Bryon) Ash, Digby; Aunt Donna, Digby; Shirley Richardson, Yarmouth; uncle, Bud Hazelton, Ontario; grandchildren, Tristin and Brianna; step-grandchildren, Chantellie and Gari. She was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Hazelton, and paternal grandparents, Hurlburt. Linda is also survived by her extended family the Spurrs. Sisters; Debbie & Jim Childs, Ft. Nelson, BC, Evelyn Spurr, Yarmouth, Gail & Pat Newell, Plymouth, Carol & John Deveau, South Ohio, Ann & George Muise, Yarmouth, and brothers, Fred & Amanda Spurr, Ft. Nelson, BC, Jack & Alana Spurr, Brenton, NS, and mother-in-law Edna Spurr, Yarmouth; predeceased by father-in-law Arnold Spurr. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home in Yarmouth. The Funeral Service was held Thursday, January 6, at 2 p.m. in Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel, and was officiated by Pastor Larry Pennell. Interment was in Carleton Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to New Life Church or charity of your choice.
