Anne - Marie Cote (nee: Fourny), age 77 years of Swift Current and Cadillac Sk, passed away January 11, 2011 at The Prairie Pioneers Lodge, Swift Current, SK. A prayer Vigil was held at the Chapel of Warren's Fuenral Home, Thursday, January 14, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. and a Funeral Mass was held from Christ The Redeemer Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M., with Father Francis Kurisinkal as Celebrant. The neices of the deceased were Ushers and the pallbearers were: Mark Fink, Michael Fink, Cody Cochrane, Christopher Cote, Nickolaus Cote and Byron Yates. The interemnt service followed at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK. Anne-Marie was predeceased by her husband Oscar, her parents Emile and Marie Fourny, her sisters Marie-Louise, Simone and Julie and is survived by her children: Rita Sink, Swift Current SK, Richard (Barb) Cote, Medicine Hat, AB, Dennis (Donna) Cote, Grand Prairie, AB, Ida (Tim) Cochrane, Swift Current, SK and Noel (Gwen) Cote, Cadillac, Sk, ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Anne-Marie was born on February 22, 1933 at the family farm in the Frenchville district, SK. She attended school at Frenchville, Valmarie and Ponteix, SK. She was a very involved and an acive farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League, Interfaith Choir, 50-50 club and volunteered for the Cadillac Town and Country Club. Her special interests included: word puzzles, crossword puzzles, curling, crocheting, knitting and reading. She loved spending time with her family, her children, grandchidren and great grandchildren. She was very devoted to her fmaily, the farm and her husband. She spent over 14 years tending to her hunband Oscar's every need, after his stroke. Through all the hard times she maintained her great sense of humor and ability to find humor in even the most trying situations. In her memory, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Prairie Pioneers Lodge Auxiliary, would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home.
