The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011 of Carl "Brian" Mayhew of Lady Fane, P.E.I., aged 58 years. Brian was born on Jan. 23, 1952 in Charlottetown, P.E.I. to his parents Carl Mayhew of Lady Fane and Ella Mayhew-Smith of Inkerman. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Hickox) Mayhew and loving father of Connie Sinclair of Kinkora and Tammy Mayhew (Randy Ward) of Shamrock. Also lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren Chris, Ashley Dawn, Nyomi and Cody, one great-grandchild Landon and many nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Alan (Maxine) of Halifax, N.S., Michelle (Leonard) Shepherd of Charlottetown, Shirley Mayhew of Shamrock, Dale of Lady Fane, Lyndon (Norma) of Crapaud and Janet (Wayne) Foy of Inkerman. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, Jan. 19 for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Interment to take place in Tryon People's Cemetery, Tryon at a later date.
