It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our remarkable mother from Carbonear, NL, on January 14th, 2011, surrounded by loving family in Pickering, ON at age 74 years. Mary is now reunited with her beloved husband Patrick O'Keefe, dear parents Margaret Ward (nee Rogers) and Michael Ward, step-mother Winnie Ward, special "second" parents who raised her Mary Ann Ward (nee Shea) and Daniel Ward, and grandparents Elizabeth Rogers (nee King) and Thomas Rogers. Mary is survived by her dear brother Danny Ward (Maude); sister Nellie Butler (Steve); brothers and sisters-in-law Joe (Regina), Bridget (Tommy), Mike (Alice), and Pauline (Bud). Mom's voice, friendship, and love will echo in the hearts of her nine children: Margaret (Stephen), Mary Jo (James), Michael (Mary), Daniel (Lorraine), Pauline (Rick), Sharon (Rick), Stephen (Monica), Gerald (Ruth Ann), and Kelly (Todd). Mary was adored Grammie to Erin, Catherine, Clare, Kellene, Patrick, Amanda, Danny, Cody, Ryan, Chantelle, Stephen, Cory, Evan, Jeremy, Brittany, Ashley, Brianna, Joshua and Madison. Mary will be greatly missed by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunt Dot and numerous friends especially Peg, Catherine, Helen, Julie and Roger. Kelly's words "Listen... Loves Ya!" were music to Mom's ears. We will love you forever Mom. Give Dad a hug from us. The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick's R.C. Church and Cemetery, Carbonear, on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 10:30 A.M.
