Mr. Griggie, avid fisherman, lover of all things in nature, mentor, teacher, healer, man of a rare wisdom. Passed peacefully away on Sunday, January 16, 2011, surrounded by family and friends, Greg Phillips of Colliers. Predeceased by his son Mikie, parents Patrick and Mary and brother Charlie. Left with cherished memories his devoted wife Marilyn; his two loving daughters: Karen (Kurt) and Amanda (Keith); one sister Marguerite; eight brothers: John (Alice), Ben, Paddy (Annie Mae), Cyril (Ann), Sam (Betty), Jim, Nick (Mena) and Rick (Linda); brothers-in-law: Gordon Hawco (Donna), Kenneth Hawco (Helen), Edmund Hawco (Cindy), Brian Hawco (Bev), Jack Hawco (Denise), Nick Hawco (Sandra), Bob Hawco (Trish); sisters-in-law: June Connors (Rick), Dianne Howse (Paul); also a number of very special nephews and nieces and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Conway's Funeral Home, Conception Harbour. Visitation on Tuesday and Wednesday 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Colliers, on Thursday, January 20 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow.
