The death of Joyce Thompson of Waterville, Sunbury Co., NB occurred at her residence on January 17th, 2011. Born June 2nd, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Neal and Bessie (Jenkins) Hetherington and wife to Ronald Thompson. Joyce is survived by her husband, Ronald; her son, Terrence Thompson; one grandchild, Joanne Thompson-Barker; three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Allyssa and Jesse Barker; her siblings, Myrtle Thorne of Sussex, NB, Flora DeWitt (Charles) of Fredericton, NB, Jeanetta Day (Clayton) of Hammond River, NB, and Garfield Hetherington of Chilliwack, BC. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Huestes, Vena Small, Calvin Hetherington and Horace Hetherington.
Visitation will take place at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Thursday, January 20th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Friday, January 21st, 2011 at 2:00 pm.
