DEBERT/PICTOU - Marguerite Lillian Parks, 91 of Debert, and formerly of Pictou, passed away in Shannex Court, Debert on January 17, 2011.
Born in Middle La Have, N.S. she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Richards) Ross.
Marguerite was an R.N. and trained in the Old Halifax Infirmary. In past years she was very active and enjoyed walking, swimming and cross country skiing.
She is survived by daughter, Marilyn Locke, Bedford; grandchildren: Jeffrey, Sheila, Kevin; great-grandchildren, Sophie and Jake; daughter-in-law, Darlene Parks.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley; son, Philip; two brothers and two sisters.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation at her request. A private family service will be held.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Pictou United Church Memorial Fund or the C.N.I.B.
