Donald Frost of Moose Jaw passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the age of 80 years. Don was born in Moose Jaw on June 25, 1930 to Lucy and Percy Frost and grew up in the Mitchellton district. He was a farmer and school bus driver for many years. On March 29, 1958 he married Elaine Schmidt of Mossbank and they had two children, Ronnie and Laurie. Don enjoyed dancing, bowling, playing shuffleboard, and watching sports on TV. He had a great love for his wife, children and grandchildren. In 1997 they moved to Crestview Manor. He did many jobs to help out around the apartment. He will be remembered as a great friend and neighbour. "His quiet mannerism", "He was one of the nicest men I knew", "He will certainly be missed", are all attributes he has earned. Predeceased by his father Percy in 1975, his son Ronald in 1978, and his mother in 2009, Don is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Elaine; daughter Laurie Fraser, sisters Pauline Hack and Gloria Thompson, and grandchildren Kyle and Sydney Fraser. Don was such a good person and he will be sadly missed. The Celebration of Don's life will be held at Minto United Church on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Reverend John Carley will officiate. Memorialization will take place at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of cards and flowers, memorials to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St.E., Moose Jaw, S6H 1H3, would be appreciated.
