Florence passed away peacefully at the Beach Grove Home, Sunday, January 16, 2011, at the age of 92 years.
She resided at 163 Dorchester St., Charlottetown, for 55 years and is predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Patricia (Laughlin) Noonan; her husband, Sgt. Maj. Henry J. Blanchard, P.E.I. Highlanders; brother, Walter Noonan of Richmond; sister, Doris LeClair; son-in-law, John Drewery; daughter, Terrill Marie; son, Keith Blanchard; grandchildren, Sheralee and Brant Shepherd.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolle Anne Blanchard and Rosalind Drewery; her son, Jean Paul Blanchard; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Henry Blanchard of Toronto, Florence Anne (nee Shepherd) (Robbie) Sanderson, Byron (Renee) Shepherd of Quebec, Christine (Bruce) Langevin of Oakville; great-grandchildren Rebecca, Jennifer and Casey Sanderson, Livia and Mia Shepherd, Acadia and Will Langevin. Also surviving is long-time family member and friend Earle (Carol) Shepherd; niece, Patricia Anne (nee LeClair) (Mike) O'Brien; sister-in-law, Mary Noonan of Richmond; and many nieces and nephews, children of Walter and Mary Noonan.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the care givers of the Beach Grove Home for the exemplary care given to Florence.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home, 35 Longworth Avenue, Charlottetown, for visiting hours on Thursday, January 20, 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at a later date at Immaculate Conception Church, Richmond, P.E.I.
