Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion, St. John’s on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, Edward Pitcher of Winterton, age 86 years. Predeceased by wife Jenny (Jackson), parents Martin and Lucy (Piercey) Pitcher, sisters Selena Whitten, Marion Hindy-Green and brother Peter. Leaving with happy memories daughter Marion (Tom) Douglas; grandchildren Paula and Michael; great-grandchildren Shana and Nicholas, Dundee, Scotland; many nephews and nieces and friends, especially Edison and Dianne Coates. Waking at Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton, N.L., Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday 10-12 noon. Funeral service to take place from Green’s Funeral Home 2:00 p.m., Friday July 3, 2009.
