Passed peacefully away on Monday, January 17, 2011, in the presence of her family at the Health Sciences Center, St. John's, Mary Stoodley, in her 81st year of St. Jacques. Predeceased by husband, Thomas (June, 2002). Left with fond and loving memories are her children; Roland (Ellie), Gerald (Beatrice), Silas, Samuel (Pauline), Edith (Melvin), Gerri (Vince) and Sheila (JR); 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucy, Dorothy and Effie; brother, Silas, and a large circle of extended family and friends especially sister in law, Burnsie Lawrence, lifetime friend and neighbor. Rested at St. Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church in St. Jacques. Funeral took place on Thursday, January 20, 2011, at 2:00 pm with interment following at the family plot in St. Michaels and All Angels cemetery.A special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center, St. John's Radiation Oncology Department, in particular Dr's Lear, O'Brien, Stuckless and Norman, Father John Courage and the wonderful and caring staff of 4NB and 4SB at the Health Sciences Center.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St. Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church or the Dr. H.
