Carol Leona Logan, of Ellerdale Street passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at her residence. Carol was born in Saint John in 1941 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Ina (Sinton) Wharton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother William Wharton and her sister Diane Denton. She worked in Environmental Services at the St. Joseph's Hospital for 21 years, she was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69. She is survived by her sons Wayne Miller and David Cogswell both of Saint John; grandson Christopher; brother Ronald Wharton (Betty) of Saint John; sisters Shirley McManus (Barry) of Saint John, Gloria Clark of Saint John, Barbara Stein (Eric O'Neil) of Grand Manan and Sheila Knudsen of Saint John; brother-in-law Walter Denton; her favorite niece Ann Wong; great friend Bea Garnett; several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, visitation will be held on Monday January 24, 2011 from 2 to 6 p.m. Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday January 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
