Cecilia Boudreau
Sister Cécilia Boudreau (Marie-de-la-Miséricorde). She was 106 and in her 85th year of her religious profession. She passed away Sunday, January 23rd at the Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Moncton where she resided. Born June 6, 1904 in Petit-Rocher, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Boudreau) Boudreau. Besides her religious family, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. She is predeceased by five brothers: Wilfred, Émilien, Cléophas, Gérard, Évangéliste; also her four sisters : Éva, Rosalie, Laurianne and Sister Eulalie Boudreau, NDSC.
Sister Cécilia will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d'Acadie Pavillion of the Maison-mère on King Street (Godfrey Street entrance) on Monday, January 24 from 2 to 9 p.m. and also on Tuesday morning. Solemn Vespers will be held Monday evening at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday in the chapel at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Memramcook.
