Passed away suddenly at the Health Sciences Centre on Friday, July 3rd, 2009, Shirley Margaret Hogan of St. John’s, Age 70 years. Predeceased by her mother Trixie and father Malcolm. Leaving to mourn with beautiful and loving memories her husband and soulmate Harold of 49 wonderful years; sons Randy (Joanne), Gerald (Barb); daughters Linda Hill (Sidney), Barbara Fleet (James) and eight loving grandchildren Jennifer and Katelyn Hogan, Glen and David Hogan, Ryan and Krista Hill, Jessica and Bryanna Fleet; sisters Betty Baxtrome (Frank) of Holyrood, Gale Barfitt (Oswald) of Paradise; and best friend of 39 years Betty Goodwin. Shirley also leaves a very large circle of wonderful friends that will always be remembered in her heart. The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful doctors and staff of the Health Sciences Centre and especially the 4 South A nurses who took extra special care of Shirley during the last five weeks. She was a lifetime member of the Pioneers. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, July 6th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 7th from 10 a.m. - noon, 2 pm-4pm and 7- 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, July 8th at 2 p.m. from Wesley United Church.
