The death of Enid Beattie of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, January 24th, 2011. Born in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Maude (Kavanaugh) Creed and wife of the late Clayton Reid and the late Keith Beattie. Enid was the last surviving member of her family. She was a graduate of Acadia University and did post-graduate work at the University of New Brunswick and studied at Bishop's University and Sir George Williams University in Quebec. She was also the director of the Provincial Association of Protestant Teachers of Quebec. She taught Senior English and Latin for many years in Sherbrook High School and Rosemere High School in Quebec, later she did supply teaching in the Fredericton High School. Since her retirement she lived in Fredericton, where she was a member of St. Paul's United Church. Kind thoughts and happy memories are the only memorials requested.
There will be no visitation, Funeral Service/Memorial Service by Enid's request. A committal service will be held at the Fredericton Rural Cemetery at a later date. www.mcadamsfh.com
