It is with sadness that the family of Loretta Lydia Wells (Antonuk) announces her passing on January 22, 2011. Loretta was born, raised and lived her entire 72 years in Moose Jaw. In that time she made many friends and touched many lives. Loretta worked at Woolworths, Ricki's, and Army & Navy. She had been an active member of the Y for many years. Loretta loved life. She had a sense of adventure and was eager to try and learn new things. She learned to ride and operate SeaDoos with her grandsons. Loretta was quick to laugh and always had kind words and deeds for everyone. She loved fashion and was an accomplished seamstress. She could whip up anything from winter coats to window draperies. She was an amazing cook, gardener, and could knit anything. She spent many hours doing the most incredible stitching and needlepoint pieces. Loretta belonged to the Moose Jaw Stitchers and was a member of Haven's Quilting Angels. She enjoyed weekly lunches with her friends. Loretta was proud of her accomplishments but she was especially proud of her family. She was predeceased by her parents Nickolas and Emily, and husband Jack. She is survived by her son Dwain (Joan) Wells and grandsons Nicholas (Hilary Brown) and Scott (Janelle Untereiner). A Celebration of Loretta's life will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. In living memory of Loretta, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
