FUSETTI - Carolyn Mary, age 78, of Herbert, SK, passed away June 28, 2009 at 7:40 p.m. at Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2009, from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Marilyn Sargent officiating. Readers were Marilyn Sargent, Malcolm Sargent, John Hutchison, Edward Robertson, Archie Robertson, Tahirah Robertson, Cheryl Heartfield, Linda Ewaschuk and Linda Addy. The pallbearers were John Hutchison, Brian Bertieg, Melissa Smart, Malcolm Sargent, Archie Robertson and Ana Teichrib. The interment service took place at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Carolyn was born in Douglas, Wyoming on December 20, 1930. She attended school in Wyoming. She married Luigi Fusetti in Winnipeg in 1969, and the couple were married for 25 ½ years until Luigi's passing in 1995. Carolyn worked at various personal care homes in Winnipeg including Veterans Hospital and Municipal Hospitals-Princess Elizabeth Pavilion. She became an L.P.N. at Frobisher Bay, N.W.T. and was the Medi-Evac nurse for patients who needed care in Montreal, Kingston and Ottawa. She also accompanied several patients back to their own settlements located throughout the N.W.T. Carolyn had a strong affinity for youth and children and would often give them gifts of books because she believed reading and home libraries where very important. Carolyn became a member of the Baha'i Faith in 1965. She also had a strong interest in the National Geographic Society, the Astronomy Society, World Wildlife Fund and Association for Baha'i Studies. She was an avid student of the Baha'i Faith; was constantly attending deepenings, summer schools, winter schools and Association for Baha'i Studies Conferences. Carolyn is survived by two sisters; Susan Rosa and Helen Miller; one brother, John Hutchison; brother-in-law, Raymond Miller; sister-in-law, Loraine Hutchison and several nieces and nephews; James Rosa, Angelique Johnson, Aimee Taht, Camille Rosa, Mary Jo Sanchez, Jennifer Williams, Connie Miller, Hank Miller and Paula Miller. Many thanks go to Jim Wilson, stalwart friend and neighbor. Deep appreciation to Cynthia Rodgers in Leader for seeing to Carol's needs when others were unable. Many thanks to Archie and Mahnaz for often going out of their way to keep Carol connected to the community.
