It is with great sadness the family of Darlene Martin announce her death, which occurred unexpectedly on Monday, January 24, 2011 in Saint John. Born 1961 in Salisbury to Zina Wartman of Salisbury and the late Vaughn Emery Wartman. Darlene was a private homecare worker and was devoted to her patients. She enjoyed walking, gardening, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. She was a dedicated artist and was kind, compassionate, funny and wanted to please everyone. Darlene adored animals especially her cats Selphy and Boo Bo. Those who knew her will miss her. Besides her mother, Darlene is survived by her husband of ten years Ray Gagnon of Saint John; son Jason Martin of Edmonton, AB; daughter Tara Martin of Calgary, AB; two brothers Darren Wartman of Saskatchewan and Durke Wartman of Salisbury; sister Charlene Wartman of Saint John; special uncle Bernie Wartman and special aunt Judy Wartman both of Salisbury; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Saturday, January 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Private family interment to take place at a later date.
