Robin "Bob" Turner

Robin Turner of Oromocto, NB, died at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the age of 88. Born in London, ON, he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 93. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII, then with the R.C.E.M.E. and later worked as a civilian with the military until his retirement. Robin is survived by his wife, Martha Shirley; daughter, Linda Turner Hardwick of Riverview; sons, Larry (Lisa) of Lincoln and Rick (Barbara) of Gagetown; foster daughter, Karna (Don) Hartigan of Burton; foster sons, Charles Bright of Calgary and Dale (Michline) Bright of Fredericton; grandchildren, Robin and Erin Turner, Nichola Kelly and Christopher Jarvis, Lyman Harvey, Connor Bright and Shannon, Brandy and Kyle Bright; three great grandchildren; one great great grand child and brother, Peter (Muriel) of London, ON. He was predeceased by his his parents, Arthur and Ethel (Becket) Turner; and brothers, Frederick and Carey.
There will be no visitation at his request. A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring in the Pine Grove United Church Cemetery, Burton.
