The death occurred peacefully at the Colville Manor in Souris on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, of Marion Sutherland of Monticello, wife of the late Peter Elmer Sutherland, in her 97th year.
Beloved mother of Hugh (Fran), Angela (George) Villard, Ethel (Emmerson) McMahon, Pius (Noreen), Gerard, Patrick (Dean), Rosemary (Jim) and Joseph (Jane). Fondly remembered by 27 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter: Paula; son-in-law Gerard MacPhee; parents Hugh and Emma Jane MacCormack; sisters Ethel, Anna, Helen, Frances and Florence; brothers John Joe, Ronald Edgar, Ray and Edward.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Funeral to be held on Monday morning, Jan. 31, 2011, to St. Margarets Roman Catholic Church for funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
