Brennan
At the Halifax infirmary, Halifax, N.S. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, with his family by his side, of John Joseph "Edgar" Brennan of Tignish aged 79 years. Veteran of the Korean War. Born on April 5, 1931, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Mary (nee Perry) Brennan. Beloved husband of Eleanor (nee Handrahan) Brennan. Dear father to Trevor and brother to Donnie (Wanda) Brennan of Toronto and Stella (Cecil) Stewart of Cardigan. He is also survived by sisters-in-law: Evelyn Brennan of Boston, Mass.; Vinnie Brennan of Fredericton, N.B.; and Rose Marie Brennan of Tignish. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by a sister Theresa (late Merrill) Rayner and by brothers Stephen, Walter and Earl. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. No visiting hours by personal request. A memorial mass to be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish on Monday, Jan. 31 at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the church cemetery. If so desired memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.
