Surette (Moore)(Dean) Evelyn "Joan", 69 of Hilden passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan 25, 2011 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born October 4, 1941 in Camden, Colchester Co, Joan was the daughter of Charles Blackie Dean & Rhoda May (Henderson) Dean. She was employed for many years with Stanfield's. Joan was a member of the Air Force Club & Legion, Branch # 26, Truro. Joan is survived by husband Peter Surette, children Sherry Lynn Moore(David McNutt) Debert and Darren Glenn Moore(Patti) Greenfield, stepson Anthony McCallum (Mai) Vietnam, grandchildren Glen Allen, Economy, Charity Allen, Truro, Courtney & Joshua Moore, Greenfield, brother Parker Dean(Gale) Nanaimo, BC, niece Joanne Dean & nephew Robert Dean, Vancouver BC. She was pre deceased by her parents, a sister & brother in infancy and first husband Glenn Douglas Moore. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Tuesday Feb 1, 2011, 2pm at the Legion Branch # 26 in Truro. Donations in memory may be made to the local SPCA or a charity of your choice.
