We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Charles Angus Campbell on January 20, 2011.
He is survived by his loving wife Claire, son Boyd (Lisa), twin grandsons Lane and Austin, his first wife Mary Diane, daughter Cari, son Chad, twin son and daughter King and Kelly.
Charlie, as he was affectionately called by all who new him, was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba. In 1955 he started to work for Ford Motor Company, next Valley Ford in Penticton, Dearborn Motors and Kamloops Lincoln Mercury in Kamloops for some 40+ years. He was still keeping active and working part time at Top Line Auto sales in Kamloops.
Charlie was an energetic man who had a love for people and made friends wherever he went. Building relationships, whether business or personal, came natural to him. He had made many friends throughout his life and his involvement with the Interior Logging Association, Southern Interior Construction Association, miners and ranchers has made them uncountable. He will be surely missed by everyone who knew him.
Charlie's summers at Niskonlith Lake with his family and friends were his favourite. "Grumps" cherished all the times and adventures he had with his five-year-old grandsons, Lane and Austin.
The family would like to thank all the staff of the Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Inland Hospital for the care, compassion and tireless support we received.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Memory of Charlie to the Royal Inland Hospital New Intensive Care Unit.
A Celebration of Charlie's Life will be held at Hotel 540 (The old Stockman's Hotel), 540 Victoria Street, on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 2:00 p.m.
