Passed away in the presence of his loving daughters and granddaughters on Thursday, January 27th, 2011 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital at the age of 89 yrs. Predeceased by his son Randell and son-in-law Hubert Dawe. Leaving to mourn two sons: Fred (Marcella), Toronto, Gerald (Sue), Edmonton; seven daughters: Lorraine Cupids, NL, Geraldine (Wade) Bell Island, NL, Elsie (Ned), Cambridge, Ont., Pauline (Jerry), Bell Island, NL, Janet (Tony), Paradise, NL, Gladys (Fernando), Cambridge, Ont., Darlene (Richard), Mt. Pearl, NL; one sister Minnie, Cambridge, Ont.; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, also a large circle of family and friends. A special thank you to the doctors and staff of the Bell Island Hospital and St. Clare's Mercy Hospital for their loving care and support. Resting at Pendergast's Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 28th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to take place on Saturday, Jan. 29th at 2 p.m. from Jackson United Church, Bell Island. Interment to follow at St. Boniface Anglican Cemetery, Bell Island.
