Gary is survived by his wife Shirley, his children Brent, Scott (Darcie), Rob (Tiffany) and Dallis(Bernie) as well as his grandchildren Maren, Caitlan, Leigha, Jaqueline and Jordan. Gary is predeceased by his youngest son Christopher. Born in Yorkton, SK and educated in Prince Albert, SK, Gary graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 1955. Gary had a large part in road construction in Saskatchewan and British Columbia, a fact he was very proud of. He retired to Qualicum Beach, BC in 1995. Gary was a member of the Lions Club, and the Toastmasters Club. A memorial service will be held at Yates Funeral Chapel, 1000 Allsbrook Rd, Parksville, BC, on January 29, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
