Mrs. Bernice Wheaton of Sussex, passed away on January 29, 2011 at the age of 75. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Leona Douthwright and was the wife of the late Leonard Wheaton who passed away in 1992. Bernice is survived by her children: Fred (Karen) of Sussex: Linda Justason (Mike) of Jemseg, Brent of Saint John, Sandra MacDonald (Jeff Chritchley), Carol Wheaton (Bill Forgrave) all of Saint John and Heather Chetley (Jamie) of Sussex; her sister Marilyn Flowers and her husband Wayne of Sussex; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her infant daughter, Karen; two sons: Kirk and Brian; her brother, Clifford Douthwright and by her sister, Betty Douthwright.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) at Bernice's request no visitation will be held. A Celebration of Bernice's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 11:00 am.
