(1945 - 2011) - It is with great sadness that the family of Julie LeBlanc of Lake George, N.B. (formerly of Dalhousie and Fredericton) announce her passing on Sunday, January 30, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Gerard (Jerry) Arseneault and Margaret (Duffy) Arseneault of Dalhousie, N.B. Julie will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her much loved children, Shawn Collins (Paulette) of Riverview, Lisa Collins of Fredericton, Karla MacNeish (Geoffrey) and Tracey Nagle both of Douglas; her beloved partner Brian Duncan, of Lake George; her brother Brian Arseneault (Marie-Paule "Mars" LaForge) of Halifax and her sister, Lynda Homer (Douglas) of Fredericton. She will also be dearly missed and forever remembered by her grandchildren, Krysten and Brett Collins, Turner Hovey, Julia and Jill Nagle; nephews, Bruce and Trevor Homer and René Arseneault; aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and close friends. Prior to her retirement, Julie was employed by the Federal Government Department of Human Resources (HRSDC). Julie's pleasures included trailering in the summer and wintering in Florida where she owned a home. Her devotion, however, was reserved for her family, her children and their children as well as her lifelong friends. All who knew her, recognized her passion for life, her generous spirit, her love of socializing and her ability and willingness to plan and organize any social occasion.
The family will receive condolences at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. The funeral service will be held from St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Union St., Fredericton on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment at a later date. Pallbearers will be Bruce Homer, Douglas Homer, René Arseneault and Marie-Paule "Mars" LaForge. In light of Julie's courageous battle with cancer, donations can be made to the NB Lung Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
