BLADES, Brian Clifford "Bobo" - 56, Main Street, Yarmouth, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born July 16, 1954 in Yarmouth, he was a son of Ruth M. (Muise) Blades, Yarmouth, and the late Chesley M. Blades. Bobo worked as a fisherman, having also worked with his father as a burner mechanic. He was a member of the Eastern Woodlands Métis Society, and he loved playing cards and cooking. Besides his mother, Ruth, he is survived by daughters, Lisa McCormack, Yarmouth, and Monica Hersey-Grover, Digby, as well as grandchildren, Robert Brian Chesley Pyne, Clara Trisha Louise Pyne and Ansley Gregory Junior Stoddart. Also surviving are brothers, Paul Blades, Neil (Geraldine) Blades, Kevin (Jane) Blades and Bradley Blades, all of Yarmouth; several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by a nephew, Neil Blades Jr. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 Friday, with prayers at 8 p.m., both in H. M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where the funeral was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29, Father Henry Smolenaars officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
