RIVERTON/LORNE - Vivian Viola Cotter, age 82 of Valley View Villa, formerly of Lorne, passed away January 30, 2011 in the Villa.
Born in Tatamagouche, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Marr) Waugh.
Vivian was a resident of Lorne for some 47 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Hopewell. She was renowned for her delicious baking especially her bread and rolls. Vivian will be fondly remembered for her courage and her beautiful smile.
She is survived by her children: Helen Sharpe, Lorne; Douglas, Lorne; Barbara (Art) MacKay, Foxbrook; Ernie, Lorne; William (Bonnie), Lorne; Rose (Doug) Stewart, Foxbrook; grandchildren: Eric Sharpe (Betty), Cindy MacPherson (George), Lori MacDonald (Mark), Stacey Munroe (Joshua), Keith Mackay (Carla), Nicole Stewart (Travis), Laura Stewart (Andrè), Jessica Cotter (Stephen), Jamie Cotter, Josh Cotter (Krista); 12 great-grandchildren, sister, Stella Waugh; and brother, Lorne Waugh, both of Tatamagouche; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ergil; sister, Emma MacIntosh; brothers, Walter and Carl; sister-in-law, Millie; son-in-law, Nick Sharpe; nephew, Wayne; and great-nephew, Michael.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Tonks officiating. Burial will be in the Lorne Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Lorne Community Hall.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Valley View Villa or the Lorne Cemetery.
