1950 - 2011 - Jeannine Bourgeois-Girouard, 61 of Bouctouche passed away peacefully at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Sunday, January 30th, 2011. Originally from Saint-Paul she was born in Moncton on January 27th, 1950 to the late Bertrand and the late Imelda (née: Belliveau) Bourgeois. Jeannine will be fondly remembered for her 25 plus years at the Caisse Populaire Acadienne, Bouctouche and her numerous years of volunteering in several community committees. She will sadly missed by her husband Gilles Girouard, her two daughters, Julie Saulnier (Mathieu) of Memramcook, Miguelle Doyle (George) of Charlottetown, one step-daughter France Girouard (Léo) of Bouctouche one grandson Justin, and her step mother Eleonor Bourgeois of Saint-Paul. She also leaves to mourn her three sisters Rose-Marie Allain (Valmond) of Moncton, Linda Belliveau (Camille) of Shediac, Gisèle Bourgeois (Gerald LeBlanc) of Bouctouche, and five brothers, Jean-Paul (Carmelle) of Memramcook, Roger (Raymonde), Gilles (Lita) both of Saint-Paul, Guy (Ginette) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Michel (Maurice) of Moncton, and several nephews and nieces.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Thursday, February 3rd, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Friday, February 4th from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Friday, February 4th, 2011 at 11:00 am with internment in the parish cemetery in the spring. In Jeannine's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation or to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital.
