New Glasgow - John Edward MacLean, age 76, of Lorne Street, New Glasgow, passed away Friday, January 28, at home. Born in Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Jack and Helen (Connors) MacLean. He was retired from Consolidated Freightways after 35 years of employment and was former Chief Shop Steward of Local 938. He is survived by sons: John, Toronto, ON; Gary (Janet), Oakville, ON; grandchildren: Marlon, Quinton and Jordan. He was the eldest of 13 brothers and sisters. He was predeceased by his wife Joyce (Walker). Visitation 7-9 pm Wednesday, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service and burial will take place in Ontario at a later date.
