Born December 19, 1938 in St. John's, NL. Died after a short illness, January 29, 2011, at home in London, ON. Leaving to mourn a host of family and friends with enormous gratitude for all. Her most beloved daughters, Taryn Rae Winsor (Sean Hirtle), Vancouver, BC; Tracy Vivienne Burry (Dave) and exceptional grandson Zachery, Paradise, NL; Her adored sister Anita Hessenauer, Bedford, NS. She was blessed many times over with wonderful nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. All favourites in their own way. She was predeceased by her parents Charles Maxwell Lane and Hilda (Wareham) Lane; by her dearest brother Norman Maxwell Lane and by her first born daughter Lori Michele Winsor in 1967, always remembered lovingly and achingly. Marie will be remembered as a humanist, bibliophile, autodidact. She had many friends both near and far, all of whom she loved dearly and she in turn was loved by them. A celebration of Marie's life will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday afternoon, February 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior.
