Reid, Laird Cecil - 69, Hilden passed away peacefully on January 21, 2011 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Laird was the son of the late Cecil and Edith (Withrow) Reid. He was a very caring and loving man who was loved by many and touched everyone's heart in a special way. He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Johnson); daughters, Melissa Reid, Shelia Reid, both of Port Howe, Susan Dickson, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Adrian, James, Erick, Ethan, Aiden, Zoey, Shawn and Darrianna; his best friend, Marlyn Spencer. He was predeceased by daughter, Hope Langille; brother, Ronald Crowe; sister, Ruth Crowe. A service will be held at a later date, with interment in Preeper Hill Cemetery, Shubenacadie. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
