LITTLE HARBOUR ROAD - Lina Catherine Jean Underwood, 73, Little Harbour Road, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 in QEII, VG Site Halifax, surrounded by her family.
Born in Pictou, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Caroline Rosanna (Davis) Worthen.
She was homemaker all her married life where her family was the love of her life. Lina enjoyed playing cards, bingo, yatzee and playing with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Addison Rosco "Jock", Little Harbour Road; children: Shirley Gills, Westville; Caroline Worthen, New Glasgow; Addie (Nora), Canso; Marjorie (Jamie) Murphy, Pictou Landing Road; Neil (Brenda) Underwood, Montreal; Francis Underwood, New Glasgow; Susan Underwood (Raymond MacNeil), Pictou; George (Martha) Underwood, Tatamagouche; Wolfred (Sam) Underwood, Quebec; sister, Marjorie (Lawrence) Brown, Brantford, ON; brother, Robert "Bob" Worthen (Elaine Carter) Pictou Landing; 16 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by son, Billy Underwood; brothers, Bert Worthen and Wilfred Davis.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday in P & K MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home chapel with Captain Neil Abbott officiating.
Donations may be made in Lina's memory to a charity of one's choice.
