Stehelin-Hanson
Jean Stehelin-Hanson of Halifax passed away at the age of 95 in the Halifax Infirmary on Jan. 19, 2011. She is survived by her sons Dr. James (Louise) Hanson, Cascumpec, P.E.I. and Derek (Barbara) Hanson, Wasaga Beach, Ont., nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several neices and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, RCMP Chief Superintendent Ronald P. Hanson, and her second husband Paul H. Stehelin, brother George Braden and sister Emelyn Drysdale. A memorial service, officiated by Father Robie MacFarlane, was held in Jean's honour at The Berkely Retirement Home on Saturday, Jan. 22. Cremation has taken place and remains will be interred in Ottawa, Ont., and Weymouth, N.S. Donations may be made in Jean's memory to the charity of your choice.
