Passed peacefully away on Monday, July 6th, 2009, Monica Rowsell at the J.I. O’Connell Centre at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: her husband Stephen of 61 years, sons: Mike (Linda) and Ken (Evelyn); daughters: Elizabeth (Robert) Mitchell and Monica (Steve) Tredwell; 11 grandchildren: Deanne Rumbolt, Michelle Rowsell, Michael Rowsell, Lisa Marshall, Stephen Rowsell, Mark, Leslee and Andrew Allen, Samantha, Ryan and Nicholas Gullage; six great grandchildren: Kayla, Kolby, Kendel, Michael, Lincoln and Brady; sisters: Faith (Arthur) Thorne and Joan Rowe; brothers: Gerald (Dorothy) Kennedy and James (Cathy) Kennedy; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents, James and Ellen Kennedy. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 9th at 2:00 p.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of ones choice.
