The passing of H. Charles Whalen of Fredericton, NB occurred on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was 69. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of the late Charles and Vida (Stewart) Whalen. Charles worked for General Maintenance and was a member of St. Dunstan's Catholic Church. Survived by his loving wife Carolyn (Legere) Whalen; children Chrystal Paxman (Brian) of Sackville, NB, Mark Whalen (Nicole) of Fredericton; brothers Bob Stewart (late Jenny) of Marysville, Eugene Whalen (Dorothy) of Geary; sister Beverly Justason (Paul) of Pennfield, NB; three precious grandsons Josh, Ethan and Zach; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his grand dogs Holly and Hudson.
As per "Charles' request" there will be no visitation or service at this time. A graveside service will be announced at a later date, to be held in the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Oromocto, NB. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society NB Division.
