January 14, 1920 - February 2, 2011. Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family at Dr. Walter Templeman Health Centre, Bell Island on February 2, 2011. Predeceased by husband Tom, infant son John, twin sister Nell, sister Madeline, brothers: Bernard, Leo, Jim, Gerald, Raymond and Mike. Leaving to mourn five sons: Gerald (Lillian), Alex (Colleen), Leo (Alice), Kevin (Shirley) Charlie (Mary); four daughters: Margaret (Stan), Patricia (friend Brian), Eileen (Friend Phil), and Kathleen (Henry); seventeen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a large number of relatives and friends. A special thank you to her home care workers and all the staff of the Palliative Care Suite, Bell Island Hospital. At her request, cremation has taken place. Visitation at Pendergast Funeral Home on Saturday, February 5, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, February 6, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Michael's Church on Monday, February 7th, 11 a.m., with interment at St. Michael's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the CP Association or a charity of your choice.
