SPRACKLIN, Malcolm- (December 31, 1934 - February 2, 2011). Passed peacefully at 76 years of age at Hoyles-Escasoni in St. John's after complications in his battle with Parkinson's. A man of strong faith and devotion, Mac was a lighthouse to family, friend and stranger. Built upon solid rock and weathering many a storm, his light continues to shine in those whose lives he touched. Born in Brigus to Herbert Lewis (d.) and Pearl (nee Rowe, d.) Spracklin, he will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife of 55 years, Ruth (nee Queue); daughters: Elizabeth (Malrey Foote), Barbara, and Cheryl; grandson raised as a son Chris Camp (Ruth), Ottawa; raised as daughters, granddaughter Tonya Camp and great-granddaughter Sabrina Camp; grandsons: Mark, Josh, Adam; granddaughters: Natalie (Jason Ransom), Amanda, Sara; great-granddaughters: Lily and Jasmine; great-grandson Noah; sisters: Ruth Cornell, Texas, Joan Spracklin, Kitchener, Daphne Hynes, Plattsville; brothers: Ralph (Sherry), Barrie, and Cal (Lorraine), St. John's; stepmother Mary Spracklin (nee Butt), Mount Pearl; aunt Daisy Roberts, Brigus, and many other family and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl, on Saturday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Sunday from 12-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at same on Monday at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
