Marven Springer

The death of Marven Ellis Springer, husband of Mae Springer of Lincoln, NB, occurred on Friday, February 4th, 2011 at The Ridgewood Veteran's Wing in Saint John, New Brunswick. Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late Francis and Laura Springer. Marven served in the Royal Canadian Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Following the war he worked for over 25 years at CFB Gagetown until his retirement. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93 in Oromocto. Marven is survived by his wife Mae, his step-son Wylie Casey of Lincoln, and his step-daughter Kathleen Casey and her wife Debbie Casey of Fredericton; four sons, four daughters, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one brother Jack Springer of London, ON. He was predeceased by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
There will be no vistation by request. A memorial service will take place at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, February 9th, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Rose-Hannah Gaskin officiating. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 93 will hold a tribute service at the memorial service. For those who wish, and in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93 and the Wilmot United Church would be appreciated by the family.
