Passed away peacefully at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Friday, February 4th, 2011, Elsie Kean in her 82nd year. She is predeceased by her husband Raymond, brother Willie, sister Effie, and parents Mary Kean & Martin Earle. Leaving to mourn with loving memories her daughters; Gloria Chaffey (Bill) of Bedford, NS, Cynthia Pike (Bill) of Paradise, NL, her sons; Gavin of Toronto, Gregory of Corner Brook, her grandchildren; Jason Chaffey of Bedford, Nicole Chaffey (Preston) of Victoria, BC, Stephanie Pike of Deer Lake, and Suzanne Pike (Chad) of Manuels, NL, her sister-in-law Nellie Earle as well as several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and special friends Diane & Sarah Banks. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Monday, February 7th, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 8th, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Major Robert Kean officiating. Cremation has taken place by her request. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of ones choice.
